The show took place at the fictional WNYX radio station in New York and starred Dave Foley as Dave Nelson, Maura Tierney as Lisa Miller, Andy Dick as Matthew Brock, Vicki Lewis as Beth, Stephen Root as Jimmy James, Joe Rogan as Joe Garrelli, Khandi Alexander as Catherine Duke, and Phil Hartman as Bill McNeal. Jon Lovitz joined as Max Lewis after Phil Hartman's untimely death.
